Merchants house combined with the Tavern from the streetscene

Very late Tudor style,although displaying a wealthy
owners use of close studding in the framework much
used in earlier centuries the house exhibits
refinements such as a central chimney stack which
would warm all rooms of the house

This interesting building is
a combination of the
Merchants house and the
streetscene Tavern and is
shown here with an earlier
period frontage and like
most buildings it can be
adapted in many ways to
suit different periods
